A Brief History of Focusing Resources
Ann Weiser Cornell founded Focusing Resources in 1985 as a way to support people who want to learn Inner Relationship Focusing. Since then, Focusing Resources has been creating quiet miracles by teaching people Inner Relationship Focusing.
Over the years, her business has grown exponentially. Today, Focusing Resources includes a worldwide community of many thousands of people learning and teaching Focusing with seminars, books and manuals, audio and video materials, and one-to-one sessions. Learn this powerful, research-based practice – you can even do it on your own – and get back in touch with the emotional wisdom of your body.
Hi, I’m Allison Jones, Customer Happiness Manager at Focusing Resources. My role involves maximizing customer happiness, coordinating classes, managing products and orders, and scheduling one-to-one sessions with Ann. It is an honor to interact with customers who are seeking personal growth through Inner Relationship Focusing, and I am delighted to be here.

Hi, I’m Shannon Crossman and I’m the Chief Operations Officer here at Focusing Resources. I help plan our course schedules, liaise with faculty, and build systems that help manage office workflows. I also assist with new product creation, orchestrate our product launches, and write copy for the website. One of my favorite new tasks is getting to manage outreach opportunities that spread the word about the quiet miracle of Focusing.
Outside of the office, I can be found in the North Bay enjoying nature, curled up around a good book, writing, baking without gluten, and enjoying life with friends and family. If you’d like to reach me, you can do so here.
Hi, I’m Maggie Hurley. My work centers around marketing and assorted technical things (like making this website). Whether I’m redesigning our marketing materials or helping clarify our unique approach to Focusing, I’m proud to be part of an organization centered around teaching individuals like yourself how to look within to reconnect with the inner compass so central to living a better life.
