Certification with Ann

If you’d like to turn Focusing into a profession, our two-year Certification Program is for you.

After completing Part One and Part Two of Your Path to Lasting Change, you might have been inspired and helped by Focusing and you would like to share it with others.

Becoming a Certified Focusing Teacher/Practitioner is a possibility for someone from any walk of life. You do not need to be a therapist or have other formal credentials in order to become a Focusing Teacher/Practitioner. You just need to go through the training process and demonstrate your ability to provide safe and empowering Focusing experiences for others, both one-to-one and in groups.

We have two courses for continuing on with your personal development following completion of Your Path to Lasting Change Parts One and Two (or four Levels).

Focusing: The Second Year is for you if you want to be more confident and more skilled with your own Focusing and as a Focusing partner. You’d like Focusing to feel second nature, to have it “in your bones.” You’d like help and support to apply Focusing to long-term issues like blocks and persistently uncomfortable feelings. You want to be able to “live Focusing” every day.

Getting Free is co-taught by Ann Weiser Cornell and Barbara McGavin. Barbara and Ann created their Untangling™ process when they were facing impossibly tough life issues that resisted all attempts at change.
