What to Bring, Things to Know

The average temperature in Loveland in July for a typical day ranges from a high of 88°F (31°C) to a low of 59°F (15°C). Some would describe it as very warm with a gentle breeze. Expect clear skies to partly cloudy skies, so be sure to bring a hat for walks around the beautiful grounds.

Loveland is at about 5000ft elevation, so you will want to be prepared for the altitude and the possibility of altitude sickness (this can include fatigue, headaches, nausea). It is recommended to drink plenty of water and rest as needed.

There’s a 37% chance of rain on an average day.

All linens and bedding are provided, as are towels. You’ll need to bring your own personal toiletries, including shampoo, hair dryer, and face cloths.

There is a swimming pool, so be sure to bring a bathing suit and pool footwear if you’d like to enjoy the pool.

For those staying for both retreats, there is laundry available that can be coordinated with pre-arrangement with the venue.

We will provide a workbook. You may want to bring a notebook, a printed copy of the downloadable handouts, and/or your Focusing journal for your own notes.

Optional/for fun: bring your iPhone with music for dance or other movement, musical instruments if easy to bring. Wifi is available throughout Sunrise Ranch.

Wrapping Up and Moving Forward

Once your course is completed, you will receive an email explaining the steps to take if you would like to receive a Record of Completion/CE Credits.

A Record of Completion provides documentation of hours and learning objectives. We are a licensed provider of CE Credits for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. PCE #62524. Residents of other states/countries may present the Record of Completion to the board that governs their license for approval of CE Credits.

There is a $25 administrative fee for Records of Completion.

Eligibility for CE Credits requires 100% live attendance.

I am looking forward to another focusing workshop with Ann, Barbara, and all of you. I was at the intensives here in Colorado 3 years ago, and loved the time at Sunrise Ranch. I won’t be hiking this time, but can give a few suggestions to anyone interested, as long as the terrain has not been altered from last time.

Hi Lyman, I would love to hear suggestions for hiking. I am from Sydney Australia and travelling with my friend Barbara. Looking forward to the workshop and also the ranch and surrounding nature. See you all soon 🙂
