How Online Courses Work

We use Zoom, an online video conference platform, to connect you to other students and the teacher. Before the class starts you will receive a Zoom link to use each time the class meets. You can join us via your camera-equipped computer, tablet, or smart phone. Prefer not to be on video? You can turn off your camera. Don’t want to call via computer? You can call in by phone. Zoom is free and easy to use. You will be able to sign on in advance to make sure you can access it, but we’ve had very few problems with it. Students also receive access to a private webpage where course materials can be found.

Not exactly. Year of the Big Shift is an application of Focusing – a way you can use Focusing processes in a specific area of your life. You don’t have to know Focusing already… but if you do, the exercises will go even deeper for you. If you’d like to learn the entire process of Focusing so you can use it with anything, we invite you to take our Path to Lasting Change courses.

You’re certainly welcome to bring what you’re learning to your other Focusing partnerships outside the course. And feel free to bring the new skills to your clients if you’re a healing professional—it’s meant to be shared!

Sure. The classroom is virtual and taught in a learning platform called Ruzuku. Each month you’ll find new content available. Materials are provided via a combination of video and written content. There is a forum so you can connect with other program participants and be part of a dynamic learning community. And you get lifetime access to all of it. Go through it once and come back anytime you need some extra support to handle life!
