Is your inner critic causing you pain? Do your thoughts about yourself seem like a stream of things you wouldn’t say out loud even to someone you didn’t like very much? Are you longing for more peace inside, less self-criticism and self-analyzing?
Join us for Radical Gentleness and learn how to transform even the biggest inner critics into trusted allies and sources of important information about what’s happening in your inner world.

About the Course
- “It’s like I don’t deserve to be successful.”
- “I don’t really like myself.”
- “If I would just not be so lazy…”
- “How could I have been such an idiot?”
Do you ever sound like this? No matter what kind of inner work we do, at some point it seems we encounter a painful experience that can be called the Inner Critic.
Changing your relationship with an inner critic can mean opening the door to a life that genuinely feels better: more productive, more creative, more true to who you really are.
What We’ll Be Doing
In the Radical Gentleness course, you’ll transform your experience of those criticizing or controlling parts of you.
You’ll learn three surprising truths about these inner critical voices–so they’ll never again be as undermining or as damaging to your self-worth.
You’ll learn the three typical ways that parts of us react to being criticized (collapsing, rebelling, and escaping) and you’ll discover how to step away from being reactive and not feel criticized at all, no matter what that inner voice says. (Imagine never again feeling criticized by voices inside you or people outside you!)
In a series of guided exercises, supported by a printed workbook, you’ll follow a process that allows the inner criticizing voices to relax and reveal their true treasure – not just for this course, but as a practice you can follow any day of your life.

How Online Courses Work
We use Zoom, an online video conference platform, to connect you to other students and the teacher. Before the class starts you will receive a Zoom link to use each time the class meets. You can join us via your camera-equipped computer, tablet, or smart phone. Prefer not to be on video? You can turn off your camera. Don’t want to call via computer? You can call in by phone. Zoom is free and easy to use. You will be able to sign on in advance to make sure you can access it, but we’ve had very few problems with it. Students also receive access to a private webpage where course materials can be found.
Cancellations, Changes & Refunds
Up to 5 days before the first day of class: We will refund your course fee less a $35 cancellation fee. Avoid the cancellation fee by applying the entire course payment towards a future class. Changing your registration to a later offering of the same course must also occur 5 days prior to the beginning of class.
Cancellations received 4 days or fewer before class begins: No refund. Changing your registration within this window results in a $75 fee.
Continuing Education Credit
Due to changes in how continuing education units are granted in California, CEUs are not provided for this workshop. We can provide you with documentation of hours and learning objectives which can be submitted for approval by your local licensing board.
Some Focusing experience, at a minimum an individual session with an Inner Relationship Focusing Teacher. Any Inner Relationship Focusing course also meets this requirement.
