Focusing Tip #637 – Looking back and looking forward
The days are short… holidays are in the air… and I want to take a moment to share with you a personal message about how I’m feeling and what I’m looking forward to in the year to come.
I’m ending the year of 2018 filled with both sadness and hope. The heartbreaking scenes at the border, the almost daily mass shootings, the shocking climate reports… these tragedies show me how far we humans still need to grow in both compassion and wisdom.
At the same time the stories I hear closer to home are more hopeful. People are learning and practicing Inner Relationship Focusing, Empathy, self-compassion and mindfulness… Becoming less reactive and more responsive… Learning to trust and follow their own quiet inner knowing.
At the end of 2018 I’m renewing my commitment to creating, in my own small area of the world, clear opportunities for turning toward emotions rather than being swept away by them. And to joining hands with others who are doing the same.
I’m hopeful and excited as I look ahead to 2019 with fresh ways to bring the message of inner kindness to all who are ready to hear it. I’ve created a new free video series called “Four Keys to Lasting Life Change” that we will be sharing with you the second week of January…
And we have other opportunities to connect and deepen connections coming up in 2019… that I look forward to sharing with you as we go forward.
So I want to take this moment to appreciate you… each one of you… different and special in your own unique way… wishing you in the year to come
