How can you stay centered in chaotic times? Read on…

I’m sure I’m not alone in experiencing this time as profoundly challenging. I feel like I have so many amazing practices, Focusing being one of the most amazing, and I still am struggling to stay regulated much of the time.
Would you have some ideas for those of us who are struggling?
Dear Ronni:
I have a piece of good news: Acknowledging that you are struggling is a very self-regulating thing to do.
That’s right — being aware that you are struggling is the first step! And it’s an important one.
The reason is that the very act of acknowledging — in the way that we teach it — increases and cultivates your resilience as a strong, steady inner self. We call this “being Self-in-Presence.”
If you’re caught up in anxiety and overwhelm, if you’re struggling with all the chaos around you, hey, those are very understandable reactions!
But it makes all the difference how you are present with these feelings.
Try saying, “I’m sensing something in me feels (overwhelmed, anxious, terrified…) and I am saying Hello to that.” And let it be a warm, compassionate Hello. Our terrified parts need us to be with them.
And no matter how much is going on, being present to your feelings is something you can do.
This is definitely something I need more these days! And it does help.
